Just In A Day's Work:

What do you love about your job?
I love my job because I love people. I learn just as much from them as they do from me. The only way to truly motivate people is by loving them. Caring for them just isn't enough. Sugary words and motivational speeches aren't enough. Teaching people new skills and how to make healthy choices isn't enough. Real love is what moves people.
How did you choose your line of work?
I've always wanted to be a teacher or work with the youth. Social work is all of that. I get to teach and I get to be with youth and families.
What is the best business advice you have received?
The best advice I've been given is to remain true and always have the motivation of doing good behind everything you do.
Who inspires you professionally?
My mom inspires me. She has always pushed me to do more. She is the only person that can convince me that I can do more and to keep moving. My
co-workers also push me. They believe in me and stand by me no matter what.
What is your single best piece of advice for women in business?
Always be true to yourself. Stand your ground in your beliefs and make sure everything you do is for good. Always use your powers for good, not evil. Last but not least, don't step on other people to get what you want.

The Balancing Act:

What does “success” mean to you?
Success means that all my failures have brought me to where I am today. You can't have success without failure.
What’s your best secret to “having it all?"
Gratitude! Gratitude won't allow you to take anything for granted. Joy! Real joy inside your heart gets you through the tough times.
What is your favorite non-work activity or hobby?
Spending time with my daughter.
How do you stay organized?
Other people have to help keep me organized! My mind is all over the place! If you could see inside my crazy head you would run far, far away!
What is your favorite form of stress relief?
A good night’s sleep and perhaps a little wine.
