Just In A Day's Work:
What do you love about your job?
I love my job because it is different everyday! I have the joy of watching people in motion and have to be a quick thinker. There is never a dull moment especially because I am surrounded by wonderful people and personalities!
How did you choose your line of work?
A cousin actually helped me get an interview. To start, I began working at a bank while getting my undergrad. The original goal was to be a teacher, however, I fell in love with the service aspect and pace of the banking environment and I couldn't leave it!
What is your single best piece of advice for women in business?
Stay confident! Always approach difficulties with the problem and the solution! Set yourself up so the only answer someone can give you is "yes!"
What is/are your career goal(s)?
Leading and teaching are what inspire me and I am fortunate to be able to apply these skills and motivate others every day too! I am starting to expand this outside of the work environment and am deepening my hobby to see what other encouragement I can offer to women. Whether they are starting in the fitness world, or just want a healthier life! I now have tools to help them!
Who inspires you professionally?
My 9-year-old daughter, believe it or not! This little diva motivates me to continue to press ahead and attempt everything that comes my way. I love being her role model and inspiration, and in turn, she keeps ME energized and on my toes!
The Balancing Act:
What does “success” mean to you?
Success is exceeding the goal you originally set and having the power to appreciate the speed bumps along the way. Nothing is ever perfect
and you learn so much more if you expect it!
What’s your best secret to “having it all?"
Don't stop and don't be negative! Life is too short to dwell on the things that you cannot control. Approach the situation and always ask if you can control it. If you can't, leave it alone. If you can, push up those sleeves and make it happen.
What is your favorite non-work activity or hobby?
Sleeping! The active lifestyle I live requires rest. Both mentally and physically, your body needs it!
How do you stay organized?
Electronic calendar! If it's not on the calendar, it doesn't get done! I do rely on my phone for everything, but this feature can keep any person on pace!
What is your favorite form of stress relief?
Lifting weights! Nothing beats hitting the gym and getting your sweat on! (With a coordinated outfit, of course!)
