Someone once said, "Making a difference is the highest form of art." Danielle Black tries to live this motto in everything she does. Whether it's teaching high school students English, directing musicals or traveling to Ethiopia, she desires to be a light wherever she goes. As the mother of four active children, life can get pretty hectic! However, she wouldn’t have it any other way. The thing that she’s most proud of? Besides her children, co-founding the nonprofit organization Awake and Alive in 2011 is a highlight of her life. Through Awake and Alive, they were able to help start a school in a slum area of Ethiopia called Kechene. Now, in its third year, Bright Future Academy has helped over 90 children and their families realize a dream that would otherwise have been impossible - education.
